« Our stay at Dean & Kari's cabin in Walhonding was so wonderful! It was a truly serene escape in the Ohio countryside. While it was set in a quiet, rural area, it was a convenient 15-minute drive from the town of Mount Vernon where we could buy groceries and go out to dinner. « The cabin was clean and very comfortable. Communication with the host was a breeze. The outdoor lights were on when we arrived in the dark which we really appreciated. The covered outdoor space was fantastic to hang out rain or shine. We hiked some trails with our pooches and the hot tub was wonderful afterwards. There were so many little touches in the cabin, it is more than obvious that the hosts really care about their guests having a great stay. We never used the television, but the Wifi was...

The owner was wonderful to communicate with and was very attentive to us. The owner did a great job of including unique touches throughout the cabin to make us feel welcome! « This was exactly what I needed. Removed from noise and chaos, a place to think and write, close enough to home but far enough that I could mentally check out for a few days. Property is peaceful and gorgeous with constant birdsong and frog croaks, and the back porch gives you a front row seat to it all.
