« BEEARE! This property is not what is advertised! The photos are fake, it is a 1 bedroom apartment, & it is located in a dangerous trash-strewn downtown area of Johannesburg. The owner gave us entry info at the very last minute & only after I contacted them, the directions were very confusing, & it became apparent the whole booking was a scam. I had to find other accommodations upon arrival. I reported this to Expedia & requested a full refund & told them they should remove this listing. The...

« I was scammed. The property doesn't exist. When I arrived at the specified address, I called the host who directed me elsewhere 11km away. Along the way to the new addresss, the host switched off and became unreachable. Expedia isn't helpful when reporting such as your chat assistant me an American phone number to call. The whole process blows your airtime and up to now my money went down the drain. »

« The owner would not respond to messages and when I called said the apartment was not available. Shame on me for waiting until I was in Johannesburg to call, but I received so many Verbo confirmation emails I had no reason to believe it was not a confirmed reservation. »
