However: - I had chosen this hotel for its indoor swimming, which was closed for my fully week of stay. - there is like a fan noise in all the rooms which cannot be turned off despite the AC and heater being stopped. « We stayed the week before Christmas in a lovely room with fireplace. The house exuded holiday charm and history. Breakfast is beautifully presented and excellent. Our bed was comfortable.
