This was our second time staying at this gorgeous villa. Once again, we had excellent communication with the manager (Davy). The check in instructions were easy to follow and when needed, Davy was super helpful and got back to us in a timely manner. The condo was spotless- the decor once again, magazine worthy. The beds were super comfortable with top notch linens with the best pillows ever! When we travel, we love to tackle the kitchen and attempt to create local authentic meals. Super Max, the grocery store, is really close - a short walk. The kitchen at Villa Gaudi afforded us the opportunity to make our meals without a hassle. It was well stocked with all of the necessary cooking equipment. The location of this condo is close to everything. I enjoyed my morning walks to the fort to people watch and capture the spectacular ocean view. If you like to shop, tour, visit local restaurants and bars, Villa Gaudi is the best location! No Uber needed. Overall, we rate Villa Gaudi 5 stars plus. We love Old San Juan, and this villa will always be our number one choice.

Summer (July) Stay at Villa Gaudi

We stayed four nights at this property and enjoyed our stay The pictures and descriptions are very accurate for this property. Its location in Old San Juan is ideal for walking all around Old San Juan and both historical forts in the area. It is also an easy walk down to the pier, in case you want to make use of that when you stay. Parking was certainly a pain, but that is understandable given the location and was clearly communicated to us before we arrived. We had a car because we wanted to be able to reliably explore other parts of Puerto Rico, so the only recommendation I have here is to park either early in the day or no later than 3 PM. Once you wait until late afternoon or evening, parking garages filled up pretty quickly. Otherwise, I can say the beds and pillows were very comfortable and we slept well. The property was clean and the only nighttime noise we noticed was some local bars playing music until about midnight or a bit later, but again that is to be expected for this kind of location. Three strong dining recommendations for the area are: Café Cuatro Sombras (breakfast and coffee), Cafe Caleta (dinner), and Anita’s (gelato galore).

Exceeded our expectations! This place is amazing and so close to all that Old San Juan has to offer. The manager was extremely friendly and responsive. We cooked most every meal in a well equipped kitchen. The utensils and cookware were top notch. The primary bedroom was extremely comfortable and quiet. We will definitely stay here again. If you love the city life, this is the most convenient and beautiful place in Viejo San Jusn!

Old San Juan

We really loved the location and the roominess of the villa. The kitchen lacked a few supplies, such as an easy way to wash dishes or kitchen towels to dry hands or dishes, and no regular sized coffee cups for coffee or hot tea. The last night we stayed here the neighbor came home around 130 am and was very noisy and that woke all of us up- but I guess that can happen anywhere. Maybe they heard us leaving early this morning to catch our flight- LOL. Overall, we enjoyed this space and would recommend it.

Modern chic villa in the middle of OSJ

This property is beautiful and somehow quiet in the middle of Old San Juan. Everything is within a quick walk from this property. The building and decor are beautiful, you’ll just need to get past the quite old elevator (or take the stairs). So glad we found this place!

Old San Juan Treasure!

Wonderful stay. Walking distance to everything. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms made this a perfect choice for two couples. Grocery market and pharmacy close by. Balcony was perfect for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Sofa could use a cleaning, but in all fairness, i am picky!

Expensive, but worth the money

My family just loved this place. The photos don't do it justice and the location was perfect. My only complaint was the lack of hot water in the showers which was odd becsaue we got hot water in the sinks. Also Agatha, our contact was very responsive which I appreciated. Would defintely stay there again.

This property is wonderful. It checks all of the boxes for us. It is located within the heart of everything from restaurants, bars, and the beach. However, it is still located in a family friendly area. The owner provided quick responses to any questions. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful and comfortable penthouse

This place was amazing and the property manager was very responsive and helpful. The entire process was clear and easy to follow. The home was extremely well appointed and I could easily stay there for months at a time haha. The only thing I wish we had were Kleenex tissues. We all have allergies so we ended up using more of the toilet paper than we would like. Other than that it was perfect. And one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. From the kitchen to the bathroom and beds everything was pristine. Location perfect! We walked to everything we wanted to do. Would stay here again 100%.

Great property in Old San Juan

Lovely penthouse apartment in a great area for exploring the old city. Walking the city was easy and the parking garage was not far from the property. We stayed for 2 nights, the beds were very luxurious and the apartment is very comfortable with nice updates and furnishings inside. The outdoor balcony runs the length of the apartment and is a nice place to sit and relax. The elevator to the apartment made bringing luggage up and down a breeze. Only complaint would be lack of hot water for showers. I would stay here again despite that, I liked it so much . (Right next door is also an interesting home that is only5 foot wide )

Penthouse in Old San Juan

WOW! This penthouse condo looked better in person than the listing photos. Dining and shopping were within walking distance. The kitchen and laundry facility were a plus since we left San Juan for another destination before returning home. Already recommending site to family and friends.

Beautiful location ….but no hot water

The apartment itself is beautiful with excellent views of Old San Juan. It has two bedrooms and several nice amenities. Location made all the places we wanted to go easy to walk to. Our only real complaint was lack of hot water for a shower. It was lukewarm at best. We tried suggestions from property manager but still no hot water. There was no shade or blind in one bathroom either so both bedrooms could see each other through their respective windows. We did get a partial refund.

Chic with some irritants

Sheet and pillow had what looked like blood stain. Thrash was not taken out. Air in the bedroom made a strange cluttering sound - made it hard to fall asleep. Very stylish place- looklike something from Architecture Digest. High style points, low comfort points.

Old San Juan Dream Stay

This property is best of the best! Location is phenomenal for providing that Old San Juan experience we were looking for. Property was immaculate, clean, comfortable, stylish, private and stocked with all the essentials making our stay everything we hoped for. Elevator worked for our stay which was great for my mother to avoid the steps up to the 4th floor. We were able to find a parking garage less than 2 blocks away which was convenient. The property manager also gave excellent restaurant recommendations. We will be back!

The location was perfect! Old San Juan was easily accessed by foot. The apartment was absolutely beautiful! The amentaties were ample. Loved the balcony in the early morning and evening when the sun was down.
