Imagine gathering around the fireplace after a wonderful day in the snow, sharing meals around the dining table, or enjoying a relaxing summer evening in the backyard. Mountain View Retreat is a beautiful five-bedroom home in the Mountain View Estates neighborhood, designed for family gatherings, relaxation, and making lifelong memories in every season.



With a spacious great room, a well-equipped kitchen, a pool table, a kids’ play area, and a fenced backyard, this home offers plenty of room to spread out, reconnect, and enjoy your time together in South Lake Tahoe.



The Great Room & Kitchen

As you enter the great room, you’ll be greeted by high vaulted ceilings, distressed timber beams, a stone-surround gas fireplace, and plenty of windows to take in the mountain views. The main floor features a comfortable living area with a flat-screen TV, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious dining area with a table that seats up to 10. A highchair is also available.



The kitchen is a wonderful space for preparing meals together, featuring a six-burner gas stove, granite countertops, a spacious bar with bar stools, a dishwasher, and everything you need to cook for the whole group. There’s also a gas BBQ on the porch just off the kitchen.



Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The upper level features four guest bedrooms, the primary suite, and a kids’ play area.

Bedroom 1: One queen bed, one double bed, a ceiling fan, a private bathroom with a shower, and a Pack ’n Play. This bedroom also has access to the backyard.

Bedroom 2: One queen bed, a ceiling fan, and access to a shared Jack-and-Jill bathroom.

Bedroom 3: One queen bed, a ceiling fan, and a flat-screen TV. Bedroom 3 shares the Jack-and-Jill bathroom with Bedroom 2. The shared bathroom includes a tub/shower combination.

Bedroom 4: One bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on top, plus a flat-screen TV.

Primary Suite: One California king bed, a desk for anyone who needs to work while away, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower.

A full hallway bathroom is also available on the upper level.



Game Room & Additional Amenities

Head downstairs to the lower level for some friendly competition at the pool table, a drink at the wet bar, or a relaxing movie night in the TV lounge. This level also includes a laundry room and a half bathroom.

Throughout the home, you’ll find streaming TVs and a Wi-Fi booster to help improve connectivity.



Outdoor Living

Enjoy the fresh mountain air in the fenced backyard, which features a covered porch with a BBQ and terraced nooks where you can sit back and relax. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning or unwinding after a day of exploring, there’s room to enjoy the peaceful mountain setting.



Explore South Lake Tahoe

Mountain View Retreat is a short drive from the area locals call the “Y,” where you’ll find shopping, dining, and great breweries.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love the nearby hiking and mountain biking opportunities at Angora Ridge, Tahoe Mountain, and Washoe Meadows State Park. You can also explore beautiful Fallen Leaf Lake and Angora Lakes.

For skiing and snowboarding, Heavenly Ski Resort is approximately 15 minutes away, Sierra-at-Tahoe is approximately 25 minutes away, and Kirkwood is approximately 40 minutes away.

The beaches along Highway 89 are approximately 15 minutes away, including Pope Beach, Camp Richardson, and Baldwin Beach. This area also offers walking trails, the Tallac Historic Site, and plenty of other favorite Tahoe destinations.

The home includes access to a two-car garage, with additional storage space for skis and snowboards.



Important Information Before Booking

Bear-Proof Trash Bin: The bear-proof trash bin is located next to the driveway. Please use this bin for all trash and make sure the lid is securely closed after each use. Bears are a natural part of life in Tahoe and can be attracted to unsecured garbage. Properly securing your trash helps protect both you and our local wildlife.

Winter Travel: When visiting Tahoe in winter, be prepared for mountain driving conditions, possible road closures, and delays in snow removal. You’re booking a mountain getaway, so come prepared for changing weather and road conditions. The home is located near Lake Tahoe Boulevard, a primary plowed road.

Air Conditioning: Like many homes in Tahoe, this home does not have air conditioning, as our mountain climate has traditionally offered cooler temperatures, especially in the evenings. During warmer days, we recommend opening the windows in the evening to let in the cool mountain air and create a cross-breeze throughout the home. Just remember to close them again when you head out!

Rental Agreement: The City of South Lake Tahoe’s vacation rental ordinance requires the Guest of Record to sign a rental agreement prior to their stay.

Maximum Occupancy: 10 guests. Children ages five and younger are not counted toward the occupancy limit. Occupancy limits are enforced at all times.

Quiet Hours: 10:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m. Please respect quiet hours and remember that Mountain View Retreat is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with full-time residents nearby. Parties and disturbances of any kind are not permitted.

Parking: Maximum of 4 vehicles.
