First of all, the listing is described accurately. Itâs a nice cabin in a nice neighborhood with new furnishings.
However, their cancellation policy is incredibly strict. In our case, at the time of our trip, the highways to Tahoe were literally shut down by the authorities because of the storm. But they wouldnât let us change our booking whatsoever. We had to get a hotel on the way and wait until roads were safe to drive. At the property, the driveway was not shoveled at all. There was several feet of snow so we had to park our car on the street and then ask a neighbor if we could park in their driveway. The property manager was basically not responding at all. When the main door got locked shut and we were trapped inside, they refused to send help right away. We cut our stay short and wowed to never return again. This was a nightmare experience.
Our stay for the weekend in Augieâs Log Cabin was great. It is a beautiful spot, super clean, excellently located in a quiet road in central Meyers, and at a relatively short drive to Kirkwood. The cabin is well equipped (kitchen, bedd, and plenty of board games) and very spacious for our pre-K to run around. A big bonus was the gorgeous bathroom with heated toilet seat. We would stay there again for sure.
