« Great no-frills appartment - clean, spacious, in good condition and comfortable (low ceilings and a bit dark as the windows faced the woodland, but it couldn't be helped and it didn't spoil our stay). A pity about the damp smell in the beautiful old main building where the bar and restaurant are but all the staff were friendly, very helpful and the food was good. Good access to coastal walks and for Lancaster too. Ideal for our needs as a group of friends getting together. The pool was nice but...

« It was more affordable than other places near the centre, only 5-10 minutes walk to Lime Street station. The apartment was clean and quiet too and check-in was straight forward. Only issue I had was a very uncomfortable bed that made a lot of noise every time you moved because it was a fold-away bed. They had put a mattress topper on to try and help but did not sleep well. Fine for one night but I wouldn't want to sleep there for consecutive nights on that bed. »
