This place far exceeded our expectations! It’s way more beautiful in person, with every detail carefully thought out. Very clean. Everything you could possibly need and want. The ONLY item we couldn’t find was toothpicks, so I’d say that’s pretty amenable! Comfortable, clean, cozy, simple. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you, Trinidad Retreats and hosts!

This house is in a great location to explore the area and cute town of Trinidad. The redwoods on property are stunning! Mid-century decor is stylish and the furniture comfortable! The kitchen is well stocked for making meals and having laundry facilities was a bonus. We would definitely stay in this house again!

Perfect little cabin to explore the Redwoods

We chose Trinidad as our base to explore the Redwoods, and stayed at this property mid March 2025. It was super rainy and cold (we visited from Arizona), but the property was perfect and had everything you could need, from a burning stove that husband and kids enjoyed turning on, to umbrellas for the rain, and washer/dryer that comes handy when you travel with young ones (9&6 yo) who get clothes dirty easily. There were even board games that the kids loved.The location is great, just off the highway, and a few min drive from Trinidad town and beach, which is absolutely gorgeous. The forest surrounding the cabin makes it super special, and kids really wanted to see bears (there’s a sign outside the kitchen window that says “Caution, bear in area“). We drove to several trails we wanted to visit, about 15 to 30 min drive from what we wanted to see; much better than the idea of staying at Eureka or Arcata. The area seemed pretty safe too.The check in process was easy, the beds super comfy, the bathroom and shower great, the kitchen well equipped, and details like lavender shampoo and conditioner, or feminine pads under the bathroom sink, just made the difference. The host has everything ready to make you feel welcome. Overall we all loved the cabin and will definitely book the place again.

Great Stay in Trinidad!

This secluded cabin has been updated and offers everything one needs for a 6 night stay. Although we didn't do any cooking, as we were visiting family, the kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfy. We were very happy with our stay. We'll be back!

Enjoyable stay in the Redwoods

We visit the town of Trinidad often, and we definitely enjoyed our stay here. It is extremely convenient to get into town. Quick drives to local beaches and our favorite restaurants. The wood burning stove was great, and the beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a good selection of games there for the winter evenings.

Great Costal Town With A Nice Woodsy Feel

This was the perfect place to stay for our family. Our kids wanted to see some redwoods for their birthday trip. Their birthdays are only 5 days apart. We found this place and it was such a great location. A short walk to the market and a pizza place for the kids and the Lighthouse Grill was a great place to eat. It’s only a short 5 minute drive to the pier, to see the ocean and have a nice breakfast at the restaurant on the pier. You can look at the ocean and eat breakfast at the same time. The Strawberry Hiking trail was great for our kids to connect with nature instead of electronics. Overall would definitely stay there again. It was nice building a fire with the wood stove for that cabin feel. Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful home. We had a great time.

Love the area. Enjoyed our stay. We survived the earthquake, and tsunami warning was exciting. Only issue was wood stove hard to get heated with wet wood provided. Could use another space heater.

Enjoyed our stay in Trinidad:) Great little cabin with all the amenities needed for our week. Close to a grocery store and several restaurants. We were able to enjoy a cozy fire when the power went out due to a storm that passed through. Perfect for visiting the area.

Great lil’ cabin!

Upon arriving we were very pleased with the cabin. Super cute! The size of the cabin is great for, I’d say, up to 4 people. The owner supplied firewood for the wood stove, and allowed for a late check out. I’d recommend this place to a friend or family member. The only issue we had was the smell of the cabin itself, mostly the blankets and pillows. We spent time deodorizing several areas and washing a bunch of blankets and pillows to get rid of the smell. But, other than that, everything else was perfect! Will be back with the kids on our next Trinidad trip in the future.

Redwood Getaway

Great location to different Redwood parks. Has redwoods in the backyard! Close to ocean and different beaches. Close to restaurants and small grocery store. Yet private and quiet. Has all the things needed for your stay. Great little community. Awesome location if you’re looking for a quiet town. So much better than the cities to the north or south. Communication with host was fast and efficient.
