The space
The home blends historic character with thoughtful modern updates throughout. Guests will find three comfortable bedrooms upstairs with white linens, warm wood floors, and carefully selected decorative accents. We have named and decorated each room after a significant figure in Washington DC history.

The 2nd floor full bathroom features a tub and shower surrounded by classic subway tile, brass fixtures, a modern vanity, and a skylight. There is also a half-bathroom on the 1st floor with terracotta tones, brass details, and a vintage-style mirror.

A bright sunroom provides a welcoming spot for morning coffee or breakfast and also doubles as the laundry room. While the private back & front patio offers additional outdoor space to unwind and enjoy time outside.

The overall space balances historic charm with updated finishes and comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces for a relaxing stay.

Private parking is available at the back of the property, monitored by security cameras.

Guests will have access to the 1st and second floors of the home. The subterranean level of the home is a private suite for the owner and properly secured and off-limits to guests.

‣ Please treat the space, people, & community with care. Guests who adhere to this policy - being courteous, leaving the place as they found it - will receive a nice review, and can return to stay with us at a discount in the future.

‣ Standard check-in is available from 4pm ET, and check-out is by 11am ET. Occasionally we can accommodate non-standard options for early check in or late check out - $50 per 1-hour extension if requested and paid in advance. However, unplanned overstays result in a fee of $100/hr.

‣ Guests under 25 years old and/or residents of D.C., Maryland, or Virginia, must inquire with Hosts before Instant Booking. Violations can result in eviction without refund.

‣ Booker must be present during check-in. VRBO does not allow booking transfers nor booking a reservation on one account for other person(s) to use. Violations can result in eviction without refund.

‣ Due to maximum occupancy laws, additional guests must have advance approval. Unauthorized guests, visitors, or pets are not permitted. Violations result in a fee of $100/person/night, $250/pet/night, and immediate eviction without refund.

‣ Quiet hours are mandated from 10pm-7am per DC's local noise ordinance. A noise complaint can result in a fine up to $500, or even jail time for a severe violation.

‣ Please be aware that the home is not fully child-proofed and has not been specifically equipped for infants or toddlers. We recommend that parents/guardians supervise young children closely and take any necessary precautions based on their child’s age and needs. A pack-and-play can be made available upon request.

‣ Some property insurance providers require name + copy of government-issued photo ID for each guest. If requested, the Guest(s) agree to provide information within three (3) hours or the reservation can be canceled.

‣ Fire safety - no candles, lighters, smoking/vaping of any kind permitted indoors or on the property. Violations can result in a $250 fine plus repair of all damages.

‣ Inside and within 50 feet of the property there will be NO unauthorized events, NO commercial photography/filming, NO illegal activities/substances, and NO businesses can operate/transact. Violations result in fines, immediate eviction without refund, and involvement of local authorities.

‣ City living - keep all gates + doors locked at all times (whether you are on- or off-premises).

‣ To avoid plumbing clogs please ONLY flush toilet paper in the toilets. No sanitary products, paper towels, or wipes.

‣ Avoid overloading - do not launder bedding - we do that for you. If you need to launder a bulky item, ask your hosts for assistance.

‣ Alert hosts immediately if anything broken/damaged.

‣ Please remove shoes while inside during your stay.
