This was perhaps my worst vacation rental experience ever.First, I want to say that the condo itself was great. Spacious and well-appointed. And somehow the view actually lives up to the photos in the listing. If it looks fake to you, it's probably only because it's so bright and intense that the photos had to be toned down in order to not overwhelm the room itself.Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the customer service.When I arrived promptly at 4:00 PM, the code I received did not work to open the door. I called Vacasa customer service and they gave me an alternate code to try. That didn't work either. So I called again. A couple more things to attempt did not work, so I was told that a "lockout specialist" would be contacted and they would be in touch. After 4 calls to customer service and at least 3 text message conversations, they finally suggested I get a hotel... 5 hours after I first contacted them. The hotel actually stayed open late to accommodate me. Their customer service was everything Vacasa's was not.The next morning at 11:00, I finally got someone to call me back. They had called a locksmith and managed to get me access. There was no offer to compensate me for the check-in nightmare. They could only pay for the hotel and shift my stay in the unit by one night (and actually tried to charge me for the balance).In summary, if you stay here and nothing goes wrong, you will have a lovely time. If anything does go wrong, though... Brace yourself.
