„We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. We really enjoyed our stay. “

„The little cottages are very well thought out; just like a caravan, you really have everything you need. It's like camping, except everything is there and you only need a sleeping bag and towels (although you can get them from the owner for a small extra charge). What we liked best was the large tripod grill that each cottage has. For 5 pounds you can take firewood from a box and grill anything you've bought at the supermarket. „We had a lovely couple of nights stay, it was very peaceful and secluded at the cabin which was perfect. We were pretty much left to our own devices which was quite nice, although we knew the wardens were on site if anything was needed.
