First, I feel bad about not leaving a great review because the owner and property manager were great and very responsive (clogged sink was fixed quickly). And, despite the negatives that follow, IT'S PROBABLY STILL A BARGAIN! But I have to say that the place needs a lot of maintenance and updating.Positives: Right on the water (though you can't swim right there), individual A/C controls, nice views, few bugs, nice little pool. Lots of space. It was generally clean.Negatives:First, there's signage that you can't flush toilet paper down the toilets. It's kinda gross, especially without a lidded can for poopy paper. It's also hard to remember, and hard to execute for big people (I am 6' 3").Second, notice that WiFi is not listed as an amenity. There is actually no WiFi. Third, the fence around the property does NOTHING to keep out the many stray dogs. I like dogs, but not feral dogs. One of our party was very afraid of dogs and needed to be escorted between the 2 houses. Stray dogs were the one downside to this neighborhood.Other negatives in no particular order: Kitchen cabinets need a lot of work. No beach chairs (not in amenities). No kayak, canoe, or water gear mentioned under amenities. No hot pads. Inoperable deadbolt (though neighborhood seemed very safe). Inoperable windows, and one broken. Rust & corrosion lots of places. An inoperable bidet. Stairs to beach overgrown. Dirty windows. No functional blinds and some bedroom curtains were almost transparent.
