„There was a musky smell and mould in the bathroom. Not recommended at all.“

„Staff very welcoming. Food really nice and very filling. Perfect stay for us. Thankyou“

„An amazing location and room. Great breakfast and convenient to walkable and drivable Lake District attractions.“

Abgeschlossener Parkplatz in nächster Nähe. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.“

„What a great hotel. It is quite isolated, but is a little gem. Built in the 1930s, it retains many of its original art deco features and has been well maintained and sympathetically furnished for the period. After storms, we had a short power cut and I almost expected to hear a scream from a maid discovering a crime and Hercule Poirot appearing. The food was reasonable, if not sparkling but we did have a powercut in the middle of dinner and they coped admirably. The staff seemed quite ...

„Idyllic village pub with beautiful scenic views. Would highly recommend this place as there is plenty of walking trails on your doorstep. This place has a lovely traditional pub layout, fantastic food with plenty of choice, all staff super friendly and the rooms were on point. WiFi great throughout the property. Our room rate included breakfast, a lovely adequate selection which included self help items and order of the menu for hot. We will be definitely staying again when visiting the northern ...

„The room was small but very well maintained and clean. The breakfast you could not fault, although you had to give your choice on the night before which personally not in favour of. The staff were very attentive, pleasant and efficient. The situation in the middle of the village ideal and parking on site, excellent. No dogs allowed on site which I am in favour of.“

„The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular ...
