A week in paradise

Easily my best experience in a vacation rental to date! John and his team curated an amazing experience. The property was beyond reproach, and the view was spectacular! It was hard to return back home after staying in such a beautiful residence

Amazing family vacation in ocean facing villa

The Villa was gorgeous and very accurate to description. The host John and his on-site crew were very helpful and welcoming. There was enough space for me 5 adults to have their own personal space and enjoy time together in a gorgeous location and we got blessed with a beautiful sunset on our last night in the villa. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful time in your own sanctuary. The property also had beautiful landscaping with tropical fruits and flowers growing.

Perfect Place to Stay in PV

Beautiful Villa with an Outstanding View

Spent a wonderful week at Villa Pura Vida. A beautiful villa that is well situated with a fantastic view of PV and the Sea. Accommodations were perfect with a beautiful kitchen and well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool and view were amazing. John was so easy to communicate with and had no issues during the stay. Roberto, the manager, was very available. The drive is a little steep but well worth it to have such a view. And who can resist Moira and David. A fabulous place.

Beautiful property with a fantastic view

This property is a great combination of well apportioned, with great kitchen, bathroom and most certainly pool, with an unbelievable view of PV which is one of the better ones you can find. Jordy, the house manager was a pleasure to connect with, and really made our entire stay seamless. I would highly encourage anyone looking for a relaxing stay to check out the property. One note is that although the property is only a short 15 minute walk down to the Zona Romantica, the driveway is very steep, so people with mobility challenges will want to make sure to have access to Uber or Lyft to get into the city.

Family Time

An amazing property in a great convenient location to enjoy the many fantastic restaurants and sites in PV. The Villa is well appointed. Everything in the Villa functions perfectly. This is rare. The Villa owners are very accommodating. Prior to our visit we requested a few extra lounge chairs which they provided and sent pictures of. We requested a late checkout which they accommodated which was greatly appreciated. John the Villa Owner and Jordy the Villa manager are fantastic with their communication. They also aided us in procuring transportation contacts. All in all a Very 5 Star experience.

Just a spectacular place

We stayed at the property for a week. The property is amazing. It is accurately represented in the beautiful pictures. The furniture is comfortable, and the views are awesome. Of course, it is super clean and well appointed with cookware, and what you need for a week-long stay.The house manager, Jordy, is extremely helpful, and very nice. He and the owners helped us arrange transportation for several activities we planned. The house is something else from a construction standpoint. The tile work and round doors/windows/cabinets and custom stainless steel railings are something to behold when you know what kind of craftsmanship goes into making it. If not, it still looks really neat. :) We really enjoyed our stay. A big thank you to the hosts for sharing their place. John and Michele

The Birthday Trip

This place was perfect in every way. The beautiful views of the bay and Sunsets on the patio by the pool were amazing. This villa is spacious with plenty of room for six adults. We had all the amenities we needed. John and Jordy were very hospitable and did a fantastic job hosting us from start to finish. They were there for us every step of the way. Villa Puro Vida exceeded our expectations. It was a great vacation!!! We will be back.

Wonderful home and host

I organized this trip with my partner and two couple friends of ours. Jordy was spectacular. The whole process was smooth from beginning to end. The home is beautiful and spacious. I loved the outdoor area and pool. Great proximity to the Zona Romantica as some walked each day to town. I will be back!

PV Friends Getaway

We had stayed at this beautiful property before. Let me start by saying the communication with John was amazing. Every step of the way, he made the process easy. He helped us coordinate transportation from the airport, he also helped us get an amazing chef that made a perfect dinner for us. Also, I have to call out that Jordy is amazing, he purchased all of our food and alcohol and even made us a perfect breakfast! The place is amazing. It has everything you need, three large bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom. The living area is spacious and the outside area is so relaxing. The view is amazing and the pool, hot tub and bar are perfect! The location is very close to everything and I would recommend this home to anyone looking to have the perfect getaway! We will definitely stay here again! Thank you John and Jordy!

Pura Vida - THE VEIWS!!

Our first time in PV and lucky enough to book Villa Pura Vida. The photos don’t due the view justice. It’s absolutely stunning. The property is an architectural dream and the infinity pool is fantastic. John the host is very communicative and responds quickly. We took full advantage of the concierge service he offers. The property manager Jordy helped us with pre trip grocery shopping and even cooked an amazing taco lunch for our group (for very reasonable fee) so that we could have a pool day at the villa. It was perfect. We also had a private chef for dinner one night and John’s connected us to a massage therapist that came to the villa for the day. The massages were 5 star!! AND, We were lucky enough to see some whales playing in the ocean while we soaked up the sun from the pool. Amazing! Pay close attention to the steep driveway notices in the listing. John does a great job being open about it and gives you tips and resources for local taxis and Ubers before they accept the ride. Highly recommend Villa Pura Vida and we will stay here again.

House was stunning with incredible views, comfortable amenities and a very hospitable staff to take care of you. The full kitchen and outdoor grill is fantastic. You should consider this property if you have a larger group but do take note regarding the steep driveway. It truly is a workout and some taxi/ubers will not drive up the hill. The pool is not large but it’s perfect for lounging around and taking in the stunning view of the ocean, amazing sunsets and nightly fireworks. The host was very nice and answered any questions promptly.

The location is near the ocean and close to many great restaurants and shops. John was a great host and super helpful if any questions needed anwers. First, I would like to thank Jon for his A+ response he made sure our stay was as easy as possible from the moment I booked it to the moment I checked out he took care of all our needs. This place is absolutely breathtaking. The best view in Puerto Vallarta. The pool was amazing. The bar was divine. The house was absolutely beautiful. Definitely worth the stay. I highly recommend.

This villa stole the show on our last minute getaway to PV. If the views and perfect setup for a vacation home weren't enough, the communication, services available, and overall hospitality went beyond expectations. John has a very well oiled machine running between himself and the very helpful concierge service he provides. The villa itself is stunning with the luxurious and unique layout meshing perfectly with the personalized touches of a vacation home. When all added together, there's not a hotel in the world that can compare. PV is a wonderful city and this Villa's views, location, and services will ensure nobody visiting Puerto Vallarta's "Pura Vida" will have anything less than an enjoyable, relaxing, and truly unforgettable trip. I hope to be back very soon and very often.

Review: We loved staying at Villa Pura Vida! Everything during the stay was top notch from the great communication from the hosts, to the airport pick up, groceries stocked at the villa, & attentive Concierge team. The views are INCREDIBLE from the villa, patio, pool and palapa bar. We barely wanted to leave the villa. We’ll be back!

What an amazing property & experience!

We loved staying at John's villa! That view is incredible! I've been coming to PV for many years, but I've never stayed in a place with a more spectacular view and that pool and palapa bar area is incredible. We barely left the villa or back patio area. John also recommended an amazing chef - Irwin and our group really enjoyed an incredible night of his food. We also took advantage of having the villa stocked with groceries & beverages when we arrived so we didn't have to take time to shop - only $25 for the shopping trip. The VIP transportation service was also so great and made it super easy to connect with the Concierge who greeted us for check-in and explained everything. We'll definitely be back and stay at Villa Pura Vida again!
