« The cabin was among very tall pine trees with a picturesque lake behind it. Sitting on the deck was very relaxing. Although we didn’t cook the kitchen had everything you would need. Pot, pans, glasses, coffee cups, spices. Actually the best supplied VRBO I have stayed at and we have rented houses for 25 people that weren’t as well stocked. Short distance to Leadville was nice. « The location could not have been better. Snuggled in pines with a view of mountains, a nice deck, and a lovely path to a picnic table and swing behind the cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend the place for anyone who does not have trouble with stairs. It would be helpful for the listing to note that the two main bedrooms are downstairs, which posed a problem for my 91 year old father who was with me, leading to us leaving early. « Where do I even begin!? This place is amazing! The hosts were very accommodating to my itinerary changes, check in was a breeze, and they really made me feel like I was their #1 priority. The cabin is sooo chic and posh. The decor, vibe and views are a 10/10, and I’m already working on talking my family into a summer trip back up to Leadville just to stay here again. « My husband and I and our 2 pups drove to Breckenridge from California to meet up with our friend from Kenya doing the brec Epic mountain bike stage race. We had a great time and loved the location and house - the house had everything we needed and was dog friendly . We were able to take our dogs on some lovely walks nearby and appreciate the quietness. »

« If you ever need a break from the metro area, this cabin is perfect! Less than two hours from Denver but you feel so much farther. This cabin has beautiful views, comfy furnishings, and access to Fairplay for any food or beverage needs. I really loved my stay, especially the fireplace heater, and will definitely return! »

« This cabin was more than I could have hoped for. It’s comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. It’s very convenient to Hwy. 9 and not far from Breckenridge. We loved exploring all that Alma and Fairplay had to offer - 2 towns we probably would have never explored if we were staying in Breckenridge. We hope to stay here again! »

« Winterfell was the perfect spot for our 2018 Breckenridge family vacation. The stocks cabin made it feel like home and we loved the Sonos music, games, hammock, and hottub on the porch. Great information in the cabin on activities and host was incredably accessible and helpful. Matt gave us a curated list of three family hikes. We did 2 of them and they were absolutely perfect for our family of four. Thank you, Winterfell! »
