« We spent 3 nights at Raul’s guesthouse which felt more like a very spacious condo! It is safe with a gated driveway and a backyard that never ends! The fruit trees, the flowers and the landscape are absolutely stunning. Now for interior, there are only positives critiques to be said here. Everything is high end, they provide you with so many things that it is easy to cook your own meals! They have lots of pots and pans, dishes etc… but no condiments. Every inch of this place is taken care of....

« L’appartement, propre et spacieux serait parfait si il y avait un évier de cuisine et une table. Laver quelques assiettes ou tasses est un peu compliqué dans le petit évier de salle de bain.Les lits sont confortables, il est bien situé., et par ailleurs bien équipé. »

« Great private location, quiet and beautiful place to relax but close to activities. We cooked most of our meals there in the little kitchen which provided most of the essentials. The washer and dryer was perfect for our week stay. The room stayed cool with the extra fans. We definitelywill be returning. »

« Great place to stay right in the heart of Hilo. Whaler's Inn earns its name; part of the enjoyment of staying here is discovering all the little nautical details throughout the house. For example, the drainer basket in the kitchen sink has a little whale on it; later in the stay, I noticed that the TP dispenser was a whale's tail. Very fun, and always in good taste. Recommended. »

« We recently returned from spending a week at this wonderful property. It is within a 5-minute drive to downtown Hilo with its many restaurants and shops. The home is situated at the end of a dead-end street and is very quiet. The home is older but very charming and offers all of the amenities of a newer property. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all you could need. The lanai was wonderful and gave amazing birds eye views of the ocean. However, the table and chairs shown in the photo is no...
