The house itself was generally nice, and we understood that the heavy rain was simply part of the risk of a beach vacation. However, a few issues affected our overall experience.The beds advertised as queens "appeared" to be full/double beds. I am only 5'8", and my feet hung off the end of the bed. They were also not very comfortable. I have spent around $7,000 on oceanfront vacation homes before, so I expected this duplex to provide a comparable level of comfort and quality. Maybe the beds just seemed small, but they certainly were not comfortable, and we felt squeezed in. Our main issue was that the internet was out for several days. Spectrum told us it was an isolated problem at this property, while the management staff seemed unclear about the problem and the status of the service calls. We received different information depending on whom we spoke with.I eventually contacted Spectrum myself and spent more than an hour making several calls before finally getting the repair arranged. A technician came out at 1:00 a.m. and corrected the problem in less than 45 minutes. Since I could have worked remotely during the two rainy days, the extended outage had a significant impact on our stay. We were surprised and disappointed that it took several days and so much personal effort to resolve what turned out to be a relatively quick repair.I do want to compliment the maintenance staff. When we reported a clogged drain, someone responded and corrected it within a few hours.Overall, the house and location were good. More accurate information about the beds and better coordination during the internet outage would have made the experience considerably better. The management team was always friendly.
