We really enjoyed our stay! The communication allowed for the whole process to be effortless. The property is stunning with an amazing view! Lots of space and stocked with everything that one could possibly imagine! Its location was absolutely perfect to enjoy all that Lake Lure has to offer!

Great Week in Lake Lure

This property was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed at. And it was really "appointed." Everything from hand soap to towels was provided--even paper towels and toilet paper. The deck out back is very big--and allows for multiple seatings. Our only complaint was there was no view of the lake from any exposure, otherwise, the views were really beautiful. Needs a blu-ray player.

Wonderful Location

This was our first time visiting Lake Lure and Paws Awhile was the perfect location for my husband and I, plus our golden retriever to take some much needed time away from our busy day to day. The cabin is in a great location for peace and quiet but also easy access to restaurants and local attractions. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be coming back!

Paws Awhile was Nice

We had a great time. Relaxing and convenient location made short excursions to nearby locations easy to do. The description of the home was very accurate. It was stocked with almost everything needed in the kitchen. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for that quiet getaway!

Would definitely rent again

We really enjoyed our stay at Paws Awhile. The house is only a few years old and it’s in a gated community which minimized excess traffic and noise. The owner has thoughtfully provided for their guests: beds and pillows are in good shape, the AC works very well and we loved the good water pressure in the showers. The kitchen is very well equipped so we were able to prepare many meals during our stay. And we were pleasantly surprised by the luggage racks in each room! Overall, it’s a great house and we would stay again in the future.

Peaceful mountain retreat

We spent the weekend at Paws Awhile to participate in the Lure of the Lake swim race. The hosts added a nice touch with a personal welcome letter and energy gels for our race! The cabin is beautiful, clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the peaceful wooded scenery on the spacious back deck and front porch. We were happy to be able to bring our bulldog with us! The location is perfect -- a quiet neighborhood just a few miles from the Lake Lure beach and Chimney Rock State Park. Great communication from the hosts.

Get away while work done on our own house

Perfect getaway in perfect place

Paws Awhile was the perfect house in the perfect mountain community. Everything we needed was in the house when we arrived. It was centrally located so we could get everywhere easily and quickly. Getting to Morse Park for sunrise was a cinch, less than a ten minute drive. The house feels secluded but it is very convenient to great restaurants and a wonderful Ingles. Nature abounds in the homes community, while they we saw deer and a black bear (at a very comfortable distance. Our dog loved it as the house is very inviting for your four legged members of the family. We would gladly rent this property again, it felt like home from the minute we opened the door. Thank you!

Great Mountain Getaway! Amazing location!!

Perfect 10th Anniversary spot! We were married at Lake Lure Inn & Spa, and decided to make another trip back 10 years later to celebrate. Not sure we could’ve found a better location, being so close to town, and still have views, and get the cabin feel we were looking for. Also took our dogs (kiddos) , super dog friendly cabin, even had treats there for them. We’re super quick to accommodate late checkout as well! Highly recommend, thanks for the comfy stay!

Small Retreat

Five of us needed a place to disconnect from all of the noise in the city and do some reconnecting. This was the perfect location. Once we made it there we did not leave by choice and plan. The beds were comfortable and the home was furnished with everything we needed.
