We loved this quiet lakeside retreat. Had a few days of rain but the incredible bonus room was a great escape on those days. We rented the boat as well which we thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely stay here again.

Beach and View Truly Special

Thank you for a warm and welcoming stay. Kitchen well equipped and very pretty, we were on the deck all the time for dining and conversations, internet and TVs worked great, kayaks fun, beach shallow for our 2 year old nephew who visited as well as the beach toys and swing set, sunset perfect. We lucked into the 4th of July fireworks on the lake too, truly special.

This is a beautifully appointed property, obviously loved, not overdone, spacious and well laid out without being an overwhelming amount of "luxury square footage", very manageable with a large family on a lovely, clean, placid lake in a beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay at Murray Lake house and recommend it for others. The house was very nice with open floor plan. It was very nicely finished, very clean and roomy. We had fresh snow and the driveway and walks were cleared daily which was great. The lake was very beautiful to view.

We had a family group of 10 people stay at the house and there was plenty of room. We enjoyed spending time outside on the deck that was shaded by a large tree and the water was very warm. Theake was active but not too active to prevent swimming and paddle boards.

We had a comfortable winter stay at this beautifully designed and appointed Murray Lake house. Everything was as advertised and we had no problems at all. Brandon, the owner, was great to communicate with. Snow removal was even provided while we were there!

Summer family vacation

Everything on our stay was great. We had 3 kids and 9 adults. There was plenty of room. The house is clean, well maintained, and had all the features/supplies we needed. The backyard, deck, and lake access is perfect as well. We usually pick a different location every year to vacation. This property has everyone thinking about returning to Murray Lake again next year.

Beautiful views of the lake! The kitchen area is roomy & stocked with a good amount of dishes and utensils. The island is great for serving dinner on and had space for 4 people to sit at with room for the rest of us at the kitchen table.. The family room/bedroom had plenty of space for the grandkids to play in. The bedrooms were a decent size with large enough closets to store clothes in. We had 13 people, 8 adults & 5 kids and fit comfortably in the house. . We spent most of our time outside either on the decks or beach area. The grandkids absolutely loved the sandy beach and swimming in the lake. We had a great time!

Clean, updated place & great layout. Mattresses were comfy & nice pillows. comfy space to hang out with fam & play cards - great views - perfect for am coffee outside. I think I washed my hair with body wash one day so only suggestion is label the shampoo, conditioner & body wash. We really enjoyed this house. Thank you!

Beautiful Home with a Lovely View

This is a beautiful and family friendly home. The home is well designed, recently updated, and exceptionally clean. The kitchen is stocked with all of the essentials (we made our traditional Thanksgiving dinner while we stayed). We enjoyed the hot tub, BBQ grill, and the bean bag games. The owners made great use of the available space and we didn't feel crowded at all even with 6 of us. The beds and furniture we comfortable and clean. If you're looking for a place that's large enough for a family, has a beautiful lake view and is spotlessly clean, choose this home. We'll definitely return if we're in the area.

We never wanted to leave!

This was a great home base for my family as we visited the Grand Rapids area to see family and do some sight seeing. We felt right at home in this house and it was exactly as listed and pictured. Brandon was very responsive and friendly in all communications. The house has been beautifully updated and had all of the amenities we could need! Lots of towels (beach and bath), cooking utensils, toiletries, etc. The scenery could not be more lovely either! We enjoyed taking the kayaks out, swinging on the swings, grilling, and just enjoying sitting on the deck looking out at Murray Lake. We were traveling with a large group (5 adults and one infant) and there was plenty of space for us all. Everyone had their own bedroom and we used the pack n play and high chair at the house for our baby. We did not want our trip to end and we would love to come back and stay here again! Thank you to the hosts for opening your home for other families to make memories in it!

While I'd love to echo the others, I can't get to a 5 star for this one. I'll explain with some pros & cons:Pros- Good size home with plenty of beds for our 2 families.- Beautiful lake and nice waterfront.- Layout, kitchen, and back porch are all pretty well designed.Cons- Too often missing those thoughtful and helpful touches that make a VRBO easier when living and cooking for a week. - Like chairs for the firepit. There are beach chairs nearby, but.. when you're paying nearly a grand a night, you'd hope for more.- Or nothing on many of the walls throughout. It looks too much like a bachelor pad.- Or the worst designed fridge (door flips open instead of closing when you swing it shut) and stove (touchpad.. just bad) - Or almost no towel hooks in the baths. I could go on, but you get the idea. I sound high maintenance (and probably am a little), but for us it boiled down to the higher cost, higher expectations math.I do want to be fair, none of those annoyances are deal breakers (we had a great time after all), but they are all fixable. And pretty easily.

Family holiday

The home on Murray Lake is beautiful. The great room was such a hit for the kids and the kitchen was amazing! Brandon was very responsive and was a great host. The beach was definitely more mucky than we like and we would have LOVED a ladder to climb after swimming off the end of the dock!
