« This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna. Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime,...

The rooms we choose have a balcony overlooking the golf course, are always clean and sufficient for what we need, with comfotable beds and a good shower. « Our room was very unique with its lovely 4 poster bed and lovely free standing bath .Lovely fire place and comfy old chair beside it in our room so cozy..We had a fabulous stay food was exquisite and service was lovely ..Cocktails were delicious. « As always I was very open minded about staying here, thought it might be overly pretentious but I was very pleasantly surprised, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The grounds are very well taken care of, even in winter, the hotel is spotlessly clean and so are the rooms, which are nice and spacious.
