Newly Remodeled for the 2025 rental season. Lots of new and exciting features, including new kitchen cabinets, quartz countertops, and new deeper double bowl sink with garbage disposal. Bathrooms have new cabinets, quartz countertops and sinks, and newly refinished tub-showers.
A Merry Mermaid is a very charming half duplex style home with unobstructed views of the glistening Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway as well. There is a beach access across the street, and there is a shared waterfront dock and fishing pier to the rear of the home. The owner of this home has chosen vibrant interior colors that will immediately put you in the vacation mood, while creating a sense of relaxation for your much needed time away.
As you approach this property you will find ample parking in the driveway as well as covered parking underneath the home. The home has a dry weather entry from underneath which makes it very convenient on a rainy day when bringing in your weekly groceries and supplies. Also, underneath you will find a shower with hot and cold water, while out in the back yard you will find a park-style charcoal grill. For a fun filled day of crabbing, fishing or kayaking just walk out of the back of the house and down the board walk to the rear of the yard where you will find a fishing pier and waterfront dock (kayaks not provided).
The property has a large, flat, fully grassed back yard which is a great spot for backyard lawn activities such as: croquet, badminton, volleyball, football etc. It is one of the largest and fully functional back yards in North Topsail Beach.
As you enter the home through the dry weather entry it will lead you directly into the kitchen area. The kitchen is very well equipped with high quality cookware as well as stoneware and a large selection of glasses and coffee mugs. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove and oven combination, dishwasher, built-in microwave, blender, 4-slice toaster, coffee maker, Kitchenaid hand mixer and a countertop ice maker that will make over 20 lbs of ice in 24 hours. There is lots of counterspace for preparing meals and ample cabinet space for storing your groceries and supplies.
Adjoining the kitchen is an open style living and dining area with outstanding views of the Intracoastal Waterway. The large dining table will seat 8 with 4 others able to sit comfortably at the kitchen bar area. For any overflow there is a large table and six chairs on the rear deck just off the living area overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.
The living room as well as the kitchen and dining area have a fabulous view of the Intracoastal Waterway and Bay area to the rear of the home. The living area has a sofa and love seat and is equipped with a large flat screen smart TV and Blue Ray DVD player. WiFi is provided throughout the home. The living area provides direct access out to the rear deck through glass slider doors. The rear deck is equipped with very comfortable seating. This is a great spot to enjoy spectacular evening sunsets across the Intracoastal Waterway. This deck also provides access down to the back yard, and out to the waterfront dock and fishing pier area, with a bench facing the sunset. The large, flat, grassy back yard provides ample space for kids to play.
On this same floor level and to the front side of the home (oceanside) there is a large bedroom with two sets of pyramid bunk beds (full on bottom, twin on top) with a 3-drawer storage unit under each of the full beds. This room is also equipped with a 5-drawer chest of drawers, closet, ceiling fan and will comfortably sleep 6. This bedroom has direct access out to an ocean view balcony where there is seating for two. The room is equipped with a flat screen smart TV. This is a great location for the kids.
Also on the first floor level you will find a full bath with tub and shower combination and a washer/dryer.
As you continue up to the top level you will find 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a shared bath in between. The bathroom has a tub and shower combination and a large vanity with two sinks.
On the oceanside of the home you will find the master bedroom that is equipped with a queen bed, various end tables, lamps, easy chair, chest of drawers, dresser with mirror, walk-in closet, ceiling fan and a flatscreen smart TV. This bedroom provides direct access out to a private oceanside balcony which has great views of the sparkling Atlantic Ocean. Here you will find seating for two to enjoy those early morning sunrises.
The third bedroom has a queen bed, end tables, lamps, dresser, secretary desk and chair, ceiling fan and closet. This bedroom is located on the sound side of the home and has a water view. It shares a full bath. This bedroom also has a flat screen smart TV.
All smart TVs provide the option for guests to access their own personal Roku, Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. accounts for added enjoyment and entertainment.
Ceiling fans are in all bedrooms and living room.

This property comes with a free linen package for weekly rentals only, which includes bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, wash cloths, bathmats, and kitchen towel sets. For stays less than a week, guests will incur a linen charge to be added to the reservation cost.
Check-in will be in person at the Coastline Realty rental office which is located at 965 Old Folkstone Rd., Suite 108 Sneads Ferry, NC 28460. IDs will be required at check-in and must match the name on the reservation contract. At check-in, guests will be given a Check-In Packet that will include: WiFi information, keys or key code whichever applies, parking passes, pool passes (if required), any additional house rules if applicable, directions to property, emergency contact information, things to do info sheet, and check-out procedures. Please do not go directly to the property before check-in as it will only delay the process for you. If housekeepers or inspectors see cars in the driveway, they will move on to the next house and you may miss your early rotation with cleaning/inspecting.
For late arrival check-in you will need to call the office before noon on your check-in day to receive after hours check-in instructions. Please be prepared to forward a digital copy of your photo ID (name matching the reservation) to the office.
