« Nous avons énormément apprécié ce séjour dans cet hôtel SPA historique de la merveilleuse ville de Buxton. Tout était parfait. La chambre était très confortable, très bien équipée. La partie SPA est très vaste avec 3 bassins dont un a un accès extérieur, 3 saunas différents, un haman. Enfin le petit déjeuner continental et/ou anglais est excellent. Nous recommandons fortement cet établissement. »

« Excellent location, lovely staff and clean rooms with a great shower for post-hike/bike. The rooms were a little hot during the heatwave, even at night where the temperature outside was a good 10 degrees cooler than inside the room. Windows were not large enough to provide sufficient airflow I think The restaurant was not worth the price - there are plenty of fantastic, cheaper options in the nearby hathersage/hope area. « Booked here for mine and my partners 2nd anniversary! Room was bigger than I thought! (Good thing) Nice and clean! Air-conditioning which was a life saver with the weather at the moment! Ended up having a Sunday lunch at the pub next door to the rooms and it was the best Sunday lunch I've had out! Staff we're great and attentive! Would definitely return! »

« Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome. »

« I highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. An excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price. The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside. »

« Unfortunately no staff on reception at any time so no help when you need it. Had to find my own key to the room when arriving late as no porter around. Food very good though and room clean »
