« The Rutland arms is dead centre in the midfle of Bakewell, great views of the town and easy to walk from. Great for people watching as its pretty busy. The staff were approachable and efficient, especially the waiting staff. The whole experience was lovely, as was the room. Will be definitely visiting again. »

« We had a lovely two night stay at Losehill. Ideally situated if you want to walk up Losehill or Mam Tor and Edale is a 20 minute bus ride away. The bus can be caught from the bottom of the lane. The service from every member of staff we encountered during our stay was outstanding. The food was excellent with amazing views as you eat. »

« Lovely nights stay at the Ashford Arms. Comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant serving fabulous food. Nice to have a breakfast menu as opposed to a buffet. Great location in quiet village close to Bakewell. Would stay again if back in Derbyshire. »

« Warm welcome with lovely staff who never seemed to sleep(!) but always served with a smile. The menu had a good selection of dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed the homemade food which was tasty and generous in portion size. The spiced plum crumble was amazing and we were told they were homegrown plums! The room was lovely and exactly what we wanted. Everything was clean and neat. We loved our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended. »
