This was overall an excellent resort. It was very clean including the rooms. Staff were very friendly. The check in experience was great! The food was delicious, plenty of restaurants/food selection at this resort. We had a great time.
The reason for the 4 star and not a 5 star review:
I tried to contact the hotel directly before attending to confirm our reservation as we booked through Expedia. I was only able to speak to a call centre and I was told there was absolutely no way for me to speak to someone at the hotel and that there was no way to confirm the reservation as I had booked through a third party. I thought this was bizarre and made me feel uneasy not knowing our reservation was confirmed with the hotel directly.
Poolside drink service was slow and there were a couple occasions where we would order a drink and it didn't show (even with a tip).
This was our Honeymoon, we received a card to bring to a restaurant of our choosing for a romantic dinner which included a bottle of wine. Our waiter began to go over the wine menu and we made a decision. We were then asked if the wine was to be charged to our room, we declined as we thought a bottle was included with our experience. We were provided with a bottle of the house wine which seemed redundant as we could just order as many glasses of house wine as we wanted. The overall dinner experience wasn't anything special.
This resort was a bit too expensive for what it was.
