When we first arrived, we were a little shocked with our room. It is not what is depicted in the photos. This hotel has been “touched-up” far too long, and is in need of a proper doing-over. That being said, once we accepted that our room wasn’t what we thought (towels are very old, bedsheets are very worn and sometimes stained) and the beds are well-worn in as well, we decided to make the most of it. We’re happy we did. The hotel is clean, the food is delicious. It takes a long time to get the food if you order it, and the buffet is very small. Do not expect a buffet like you would at a big named resort. This hotel is locally owned. It seems to generate a lot of income, but that income should be used to do some updating and repairs. We had 4 staff members that really went above and beyond for us. We adored them. In the dining area, it was Ruby, José and Alejandro. At the tourism desk, Roberto was lovely and very helpful. The beach is amazing, and the snorkelling was way beyond our expectations. Overall, we did enjoy our stay, and, if the price is right, we would go again.
