Solo Female Trip
This was my first solo trip to Mexico even though I've been to the area and Playa Del Carmen multiple times. I was looking for a quick getaway and the purpose of my trip was to enjoy the sun, and go to some local yoga classes.
The apartment is VERY clean, was very comfortable and I had no issues with anything in the bathroom or kitchen. Minimal supplies in the kitchenette but it was fine for what I needed which was usually just cooking my own breakfast and batch cooking some chicken breasts, guacamole & tortillas for supper.
The rooftop pool and loungers are amazing. It's nice to have a space to enjoy the sun and it was never busy.
Communication with the building manager and owner was amazing. They were very attentive and helpful.
The only thing which may be considered a downside would be the location. It's a little bit of a walk away from the main tourist area... BUT, it depends what you are looking for. The bonus is that everything on 30th Avenida is incredibly cheap. The fresh fruit that you can buy from every corner is cheaper than any prices I have ever seen in Canada. If you are up for a little bit of a walk nothing is truly far away, just night time it's probably wise to be a bit street smart and safe after dark.
I don't truly know if it was safe neighborhood at night, it just looks a little bit different than neighborhoods in Canada and being alone probably best to have a bit of caution anyways.
